Albert Peterlin represents
foreign and domestic businesses, including emerging or start-up corporations, closely held limited
liability companies (LLC), limited partnerships, public corporations, and other business entities,
in corporate litigation and international law matters.
Mr. Peterlin provides practical counsel in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters. He
has represented parties from all sides in securities litigation, shareholder & partnership disputes,
contract, commerce (Uniform Commercial Code), business torts, intellectual property, trade secrets,
unfair trade practices, restrictive covenants, company veil piercing, and other business related disputes.
Mr. Peterlin provides effective counsel in international litigation, international arbitration,
international trade, customs (import/export) and commercial litigation matters. International arbitration
matters include representation before arbitral bodies such as the International Centre for Dispute
Resolution (ICDR) of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), International Chamber of Commerce
(ICC), International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), ad hoc arbitrations
under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and more. International
trade matters include representation before the World Trade Organization (WTO) and dispute settlement
proceedings under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), among others.
Mr. Peterlin is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Maryland.
He is a member of the bar of the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts
of Pennsylvania, the District Court of Maryland, U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Tax Court,
U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has litigated complex commercial
litigation matters before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), sec. 337 investigations before
the U.S. International Trade Commission, and securities lawsuits before the National Association of
Securities Dealers (NASD).
Mr. Peterlin is a member of the International Bar Association, the Customs & International Trade
Bar Association, and the American Society for International Law. He also serves as an arbitrator
for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the National Futures Association (NFA).
Mr. Peterlin received his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1997 and his LL.M. in Trial
Advocacy from Temple University School of Law in 2006. He received his B.S. from the University of
Scranton in 1994.
